4. Government Distrust and Alienation Among Gillnetters and Trollers in Oregon: Overcoming Barriers to Cooperation in Resource-Based Coastal Communities. This research addresses the gap in our understanding of the causes of trust and distrust of government in general, and of management agencies in particular, among groups of community stakeholders whose cooperation is essential to the success of strategies for sustainable fisheries management.
